These doctors are real-life superheroes!

Two surgeons worked for 32 hours to remove brain tumors from a patient at Fujian Medical University Union Hospital. This was the longest surgery ever done there. It started at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday and went on until Sunday.

A team of three surgeons, six anesthesiologists, and eight nurses worked together on this operation. They performed six different surgeries to remove two dangerous tumors: an aneurysm and a brain-stem hemangioblastoma.

Dr. Chen Jianping said, “We had to remove both tumors in one surgery. It was very risky. If one tumor broke while we were removing the other, it could have been fatal.”

During the long surgery, the doctors took only short breaks. The patient’s family was very worried about whether the doctors could handle such a difficult task.

In the end, the surgery was a success. The patient survived because of the hard work and dedication of the entire medical team.

A report said, “These doctors are real-life superheroes! Their determination, skill, and kindness saved a life.”
